- Drain water then add daal masoor in the pressure cooker pot. - Add 5-6 glasses of water. - Add red chilli powder, red chilli flakes, salt, turmeric powder and coriander powder. - Add sliced onion. - Add sliced tomatoes. - Close the lid and cook for 20 minutes after whistling.
- Turn off flame and open the pressure cooker after pressure release. - Add fresh coriander leaves, green chillies and garam masala powder.
- Now for Tarka.. - Add 1/2 cup of oil in a pan and turn on flame to medium. - Add white cumin seeds. - When oil is well cooked, add ginger garlic paste. - Cook until golden brown colour. - Add tarka in the cooker pot and close the lid for 10 mins before serving.
- Mix and serve with boiled rice or chapati.
