  8. Prepare 1small cup onion
  9. Take 1small cup tomatoes

Paniyaram is a popular south Indian breakfast dish usually made with leftover idli or dosa batter. Here I have made it with a blend of rice with chana dal (Bengal gram) and urad dal (skinned and split black gram). Kuzhi Paniyaram is basically a popular South Indian breakfast dish. It is generally made using the left over Idly Dosa batter in a cast iron paniyaram pan.

Steps to make Vegetable Paniyaram:
  1. Take sooji in a bowl. Add curd, water and mix well.
  2. Keep it aside for 1 hour. Finely chop all the vegetables. Now prepare a tadka with oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves and asafoetida. Now add the tadka in the batter.
  3. Add all the vegetables mix the batter well.
  4. Put the pan on flame and spread oil well using brush. Once the pan is hot, pour the mixture in each hollow sphere. Let it cook for 2 minutes.Turn it to the other side and let it cook for a minute or two.
  5. Paniyaram is ready. Serve it with ketchup. Enjoy!!

But my mom never made them using left over idly batter , she always made the batter for Paniyaram from scratch and it had chana dal along with rice. Take paniyaram batter in a bowl, all the ingredients & mix well. Heat paniyaram tawa (Iron casting tastes better than other material) & grease with oil then pour batter. To begin making the Instant Rava Appam With Vegetables, add rawa, yogurt and required water in a mixing bowl. Make a lump free batter, make sure it should be like an idli batter.
