This amazing street food has many names and you will know of it as you see it. Call it Dahi Wale Gol Gappe, Dahi Puri or Dahi Patasha, this is a delicacy that will make your mouth water in an instant.

- Make ready 8-10 . Golgappa poori

The dish is a form of chaat and originates from the city of Mumbai. It is served with mini- puri shells (golgappa), which are more popularly recognized from the dish pani puri. Now in a bowl take boiled mashed potatoes and add salt, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala and red chilly powder to taste. Dahi puri (also spelt as Dahi Poori)is a popular Indian Chaat item.
Instructions to make Dahi poori:
- Peel potatoes and cut in to small pieces. Sprinkle salt and pepper on it. Mix well.
- Break puris In center & arrange in a plate.
- Add potatoes in it.
- Add green chutney on it.
- Beat the Curd. Put it on golgappa puris.
- Sprinkle some chat masala, cumin powder & red chilli powder on it.
- Put some tamarind sauce on top.
- Garnish with pomogranate pearls.
- Serve it.
It is basically an Indian street food like pani puri. It is a curd (dahi - plain yogurt) based item so it is very satisfying to end your street food meal with a cool dish such as dahi poori. Dahi Puri is my all time favorite Chaat. It is a dish made from crispy mini shells or puris which are stuffed with potatoes, boiled pulses, coriander and tamarind chutney, chilled Dahi et al. It is garnished with heaps of nylon sev, coriander and pomegranate seeds.
