The ingredients needed to make Classic Hummus:
  1. Make ready 1 1/2 cup saocked and boiled white chick peas
  2. Take 2 table spoon tahini(roasted sesame seeds and crushed with oil)
  3. Make ready 1 1/2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  4. Take 2 teaspoon lemon juice
  5. Get 3 teaspoon olive oil
  6. Prepare 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds powder
  7. Get as per taste Salt
  8. Take as required Pita bread or bread sticks for serving
Instructions to make Classic Hummus:
  1. Add chickpeas in mixer then add tahini paste, chopped garlic,cumin seeds powder,lemon juice.now add olive oil and add salt mix it all together and blend to a smooth mixture.now add little water as you do not want your hummus to be runny. I have use approximately 2 tablespoon water.
  2. Spoon the mixture in a serving bowl and drizzle some olive oil on it and cumin seeds powder.serving with pita bread.
