Add bacon and season with salt and. Mix the potatoes and cabbage together in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Heat the butter or oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high flame. Stir in the potato-cabbage mixture and press down into the skillet.

  5. Fry the onion till brown add the courgette,sweet pepper,coriander don't cook for long,then add the tomato paste and stir
  6. Add the chicken and stir sprinkle the black pepper then salt and simmer for 15 minutes,then add a cup of water for the soup
  7. Fry the onion add the grated carrots then finally add the cabbage and stir do not cook for long.
  8. Serve while hot.

Transfer the bacon to a plate and keep the fat in the pan. Crumble the bacon when able to handle. In a large skillet, over medium heat melt butter with the oil. Smash the potatoes to a coarse mash in the pan with a potato masher or the back of your spoon. Stir in the hot milk, and mix together well until the potatoes have absorbed all the milk.
