- Soak the gram overnight or for about 8 to 12 hours
- Cook the gram with all the powders,paste and salt to taste with less water. Strain excess water after cooking
- In a wok, heat oil. Add mustard seeds. Once they pop, add cut garlic pods. Once they turn slightly brown,add the curry leaves.
- Add grated coconut and roast for about a minute.
- Add the gram into this and mix well
- Check salt level and add if required
- Close the wok with a lid. Simmer heat and let it cook for about a minute
- Turn off the heat
- Serve hot
