Instructions to make Sunrise Bicuits:
- Preheat oven to 450°F. Spray nonstick baking sheet with cooking spray. Set aside.
- In large bowl, mix together 2 cups flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, & xanthum gum. Add butter & mix until coarse crumbs form. Stir in buttermilk until a soft dough forms. For gluten-free, you may have to add up to another 3/4 cups of flour to reach desired consistency depending on the flour.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheet. You can roll them out & use a cookie cutter the make round ones if you want, but I prefer not to, since it is less messy & easier to just drop spoonfuls on cookie sheets.
- Combine egg whites & water. Brush over tops of biscuits. Bake until golden, about 12-15 minutes.
