To begin with this recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can cook pokemon "pokeball" bento using 3 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.
The ingredients needed to make Pokemon "Pokeball" Bento:
- Make ready 1 Imitation crab sticks
- Get 1 Hot cooked white rice
- Make ready 1 dash Nori seaweed
This bento itself is a pokeball with a cute Pikachu character printed on the inner lid. The lunch band is unique too with its pokeball colors and look. There are two layers allowing for you to have the perfect small lunch or snack. Disclaimer: This will not catch any Pokemon you may come across.
Instructions to make Pokemon "Pokeball" Bento:
- Wrap the rice in cling film and form into a ball shape. It's better to make the bottom a little flat, like a pork bun, so that it doesn't roll around.
- Using a knife, open up the crabstick and very carefully slice off the red part. Lay this red part of the crabstick over the rice. The thinner it is cut the more easily it will form it's shape around the rice.
- Cut a circular piece of kamaboko (the white part of the imitation crab). If you use something around your kitchen as a puncher or a template you can cut a nice and neat circle. This time I used the lid of one of the seasoning containers for bento boxes.
- Place this piece of kamaboko over a sheet of nori and cut a slightly larger circle around it.
- Lay a thin strip of nori seaweed across the center of the pokeball and place on the button that was made in Step 4 to complete.
Beautiful bento with a Pokéball shape! Perfect for Pokemon fans of all ages! Last week I touched on the idea of reusing old bento boxes. Today I thought I'd share something brand spanking new and a little personal to me. It is the first bento box I ever brought.
