Saute till they splutter and then add turmeric powder, sabji masala powder, curry leaves. Blend this seasoning well and then add the cut bottle gourd. Dudhi sabji or lauki sabzi is an easy and slightly spiced version of lauki sabzi. Lauki is also known bottle gourd or opo squash in english.

  1. Wash, peel and chop the veggies.
  2. Heat oil in kadai add mustard seeds, jeera, chillies, curry leaves, saute then add onions turmeric powder and cook for a while.
  3. Then add soaked chana dal and add dhaniya jeera powder, chilli powder, garam masala and mix all together.
  4. Then add chopped bottle gourd and cook for a while add water and cover cook till soft.
  5. Add salt, jagarry, amchoor powder and mix well, top with coriander leaves and serve with chapati and rice.
