Steps to make Tomato sabji:
- Cut tomatoes in small pieces. Keep all ingredients ready.
- Add oil in pan. Add mastard seeds, cumin seeds and pinch of asfotedia.
- Add green chilli and ginger paste. Saute for a while and add tomatoes.
- Add red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander-cumin powder, salt and sugar mix it well.
- Add 1 cup water and cook it for 10 minutes. At the time of eating the sabji add bhavnagri gathiya and have it with roti.
Last weekend I made methi poori and this tomato sabji for our breakfast. Sendhil and Raksha loved it a lot. Tomato Sev Sabzi is a traditional Gujarati recipe that you can prepare easily in minutes. Also known as 'Gathiya ki Sabzi', you can have it chapati, steamed rice or even with plain khichdi.
