  1. Take 1 cup Sama rice (Mauraya/Bhagar)
  2. Prepare 2 Potato
  3. Prepare 2 Tomato (optional)
  4. Prepare 2 Green chilies finely chopped
  5. Prepare 4-5 tsp Peanuts
  6. Take 1 Carrot
  7. Make ready leaves Curry
  8. Prepare Ghee/ edible oil (if you use in fast)
  9. Take 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  10. Prepare 1 /4 tsp Black pepper
  11. Get Rock salt/sendha namak as per taste

Add the mustard seeds and wait till they splutter. I have used jeera rice as its popularly known as brinji rice. So you can call this rice as Seeraga samba pulao as well. In the original recipe, it is prepared with basmati rice.

Instructions to make Sama rice pulav:
  1. Wash & soak Sama rice. Cut vegetables.
  2. Heat ghee/oil in cooker. Add Jeera, when it becomes brown add peanuts, curry leaves, saute well. Add vegetables. Mix all.
  3. Remove water of soaked rice. Add Sama rice in sauted vegetables. Add salt & black pepper. Saute well. Cover the cooker lid. Cook it on medium flame until 1 whistle.
  4. Switch off gas. Let steam be released by itself. Sama rice pulav us ready to serve. Serve with curd or aloo ki sabji.

So you can also use basmati or even Sona masoori raw rice to make this brinji.
