- Get 1 cup Jowar White
- Make ready 1 cup rice Idli
- Make ready 1/3 cup Urad dal
- Take 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds

Steps to make Jowar Kuzhipaniyaram (Sola paniyaram):
- Wash and soak jowar and idli rice separately for 5-6 hours
- Wash and soak urad dal and fenugreek seeds together for 2-3 hours
- First, grind the soaked urad dal and fenugreek into a smooth batter. Transfer to a large bowl
- Then grind the soaked jowar and idli rice separately into a coarse batter. Mix all the three batters together along with salt.
- Keep the batter covered and allow it to ferment for atleast 8-10 hours or overnight
- Take half of the batter in a separate bowl and mix it well
- In a pan, heat 3 tsp oil. Add mustard and allow it to splutter
- Add urad dal, bengal gram dal and curry leaves. Let the dals turn light brown
- Add onions, green chilli and a little salt. Fry for 2-3 minutes till onions turn light pink
- Add coriander leaves and give it a quick stir. Switch off the flame
- Add this mixture to the batter bowl and mix well
- Heat the kuzhipaniyaram pan (appe pan). Add few drops of oil in each hole
- Pour the batter slowly till 3/4th of the hole is filled. Fill all the holes with the batter
- Cover the pan and cook in medium flame for 3-4 minutes
- Then flip the paniyarams slowly with a spoon and let them cook on the other side for 2 minutes
- Take the paniyarams out and serve them hot with a tangy tomato chutney
