If I have a cup of this I have been feeling dizzy and inactive for the last couple of days, only one thing that is keeping me up and running is this homemade herbal coffee. Sukku Malli Coffee is an energy drink with medicinal properties to get rid of cold, flue and headache. As its names suggest, its prepared using dry ginger and coriander seeds powder.
Steps to make Chukku kappi (Herbal coffee):
- Slightly crush the coriander, pepper. Take all ingredients in a plate (so tht nothing to be missed.)you can either make powders of dry ingredients and store but I prefer freshly grounded.
- I used jaggery syrup 2-3 spoons or as per your sweetness. Take a pot in which you are going to make coffee add all the ingredients and jaggery.(here you can put jaggery cube too)
- Pour water and let it boil. Add coffee powder and let it boil till it reduces to 3 cups.
- Strain it and have it in intervals. It can be consumed 3 times a day. can be stored for 2 days in fridge. Better make it fresh each day.
Chukku Kapi / Sukku Malli Coffee is one of the medicinal coffee which helps to cure Cold and Flu. This kappi really works wonders, you can make them in bulk and keep covered. Then reheat it and give them through out the day. Now make the kapi, take water in a sauce pan. Add chukku podi and karuppati in it.
