How to Make Bottle Gourd Subzi. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, urad dal, chana dal, red chillies, cumin seeds. Saute till they splutter and then add turmeric powder, sabji masala powder, curry leaves. Blend this seasoning well and then add the cut bottle gourd.
Instructions to make Bottle Gourd sabji:
- Peel and chop the bottle gourd. Make tempering in pan with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric, asafoetida and curry leaves in oil. Put bottle gourd in pan and mix well.
- Cover with lid and cook for 10 minutes. Add the spices, mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add besan, mix thoroughly and cover with lid. Cook for 5 minutes and switch off the flame. Bottle gourd sabji is ready to serve with chapati.
Fry the vegetable in the oil until it is cooked and the ingredients have bound. Dudhi sabji or lauki sabzi is an easy and slightly spiced version of lauki sabzi.
