Both are cooked till you get a jam-like consistency and there you have a finger licking sweet-sour tasting preserve. How to make Mango Murabba: Wash and cut mangoes into thick pieces. Take a skillet and boil water. Peel the mangoes properly, there should not be any green skin left on them.
Instructions to make Mango murabba:
- Wash and peel mangoes/aam and grate it.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add cloves,cinnamon and black pepper to crackle.
- Add grated mango,jaggery, red chilli powder and little salt.
- Keep stiring on low flame till it thickenes and water dries out.
- Dont over cook
- A finger licking murabba is ready to eat.
Cut peeled mangoes into big pieces. Mix well and serve or shift into the jar or bottle and store refrigerated. Mango Murabba is a great aid for digestion. Drain the mangoes reserve the mango stock. In another pan mix the sugar, the mango stock and ½ cup of water and Type Of Mangoes Used or Murabba 'Ramkela' is good for making mango pickles whereas for making Murabba, 'Rajapuri' raw mangoes are best.
