Chatpati Chana Dal Chaat Recipe is a spicy crunchy tea time snack that can be prepared in a matter of minutes. In the traditional recipe the chana dal is deep fried, but in this recipe we roasted the dal in a an oven. The word "chaat" is from the Hindi verb "chaatna" which means to lick. No Indian can resist chaat, and now this delicious category has earned its share of global fanfare too!

- First we will make stuffing. So mix potatoes, onion, tomato and few coriander leaves together.
- Add in spices- 1 tsp red chilli powder, black salt, chaat masala, 1/4 tsp white salt. Mix everything nicely. Filling is ready.
- Now line up all the golgappas in a fancy dish or any dish in which you would want to serve. Make a hole in centre of golgappas with your thumb to make room for stuffing.
- Fill each of the golgappa with the stuffing very nicely.
- Now after the stuffing, pour curd one by one on each golgappa. Dont go overboard with curd. 1-1.5 tsp curd per golgappa is more than enough.
- Now after curd, second layer should be of tamarind chutney. 1/2 tsp per golgappa is more than enough else it will be too sweet.
- After imli chutney, spread 1/2 tsp each green coriander chutney.
- Now sprinkle red chilli powder and roasted jeera powder along with little salt all over.
- Stage with fresh coriander on each golgappa as shown in image and enjoy your yummy chatpati golgappa chaat 😇
- Consume immediately else the golgappas will turn soggy.
