  2. Prepare 1 onion finely chopped

  6. Get 1 cup oil
  7. Make ready salt

Instructions to make Paniyaram:
  1. Take a vessel.
  2. Pour the batter.
  3. Add all the above ingredients and mix.
  4. Batter should be of medium consistency.
  5. Heat the paniyaram pan.
  6. Fill each mould with 1/2 teaspoon of oil.
  7. Pour batter up to 3/4 in each mould.
  8. Lower the heat ; cover and cook.
  9. When the base is golden fried,flip and cook until done
  10. Serve hot with coconut chutney, tomato onion chutney and tikki Mirch chutney.

It is used in India for making kuzhi appam. This paniyaram turns out so fluffy and taste delicious with chutney or sambar. I have already shared paniyaram recipe but this is a authentic recipe for the chettinad kuzhi paniyaram handed down to me by my perimma. She made it once brought home, it was delicious. I asked her the recipe and made it immediately and it was a huge success.
