Usually we use the leftover idli/dosa batter to make the savory paniyarams, we add some sauteed onion, chillies to this batter and make the paniyarams, today also for these Vendiya/Fenugreek Seeds. Kuzhi paniyaram are dumplings made from rice, urad dal & fenugreek seeds. A special pan is used to make paniyaram and its called as paniyaram chatti. In Indian market one gets both non-stick as well metal pans.

Instructions to make Fenugreek Paniyaram:
  1. Add fenugreek leaves, coriander, chilli and salt to better and mix well.
  2. Grease and heat Paniyaram pan. Fill each cavity with the prepared batter.
  3. Add a few drops of oil and cover it. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Then flip it to other side. Add a few drops of oil,cover it and let it cook.
  5. Serve hot.

Now drain and add it to a grinder or blender and puree till smooth. Take it in a large container, add salt and mix well. At the moment you are going to make, add powdered jaggery, cardamom, salt, cooking soda and coconut gratings (if desired) and mix well.
